Pedir Taxi Madrid carries out its activity within the legal framework applicable to taxi services. Services may be provided directly by the owner or assigned to other duly authorised taxi professionals.

2. Purpose

These Terms and Conditions regulate the request, confirmation and provision of taxi services requested through the website, booking form, telephone, email, WhatsApp or other communication channels used by Pedir Taxi Madrid.

Submitting a form or sending a request does not, by itself, mean that the booking has been accepted.

A booking will only be considered confirmed once Pedir Taxi Madrid expressly communicates acceptance of the service and, where applicable, its main conditions.

3. Booking Request and Confirmation

The user must provide the information necessary to properly manage the service, which may include, among other details:

  • name and contact details;
  • pick-up location;
  • destination;
  • date and time;
  • number of passengers;
  • luggage;
  • flight or train number, where applicable;
  • requested vehicle category;
  • any special service requirements.

Pedir Taxi Madrid will check availability and communicate confirmation of the service to the customer.

The booking may be confirmed by email, WhatsApp, telephone or another means that allows reasonable evidence of the agreed conditions.

Until confirmation is issued, the request will be considered pending availability.

The customer is responsible for checking that the information included in the confirmation is correct and must notify Pedir Taxi Madrid of any error or change as soon as possible.

4. Specific Booking Conditions and Order of Precedence

Certain services may be subject to specific conditions relating, among other matters, to price, schedule, waiting time, cancellation, vehicle, number of passengers, luggage, pick-up arrangements, payment or any other specific characteristic of the service.

These specific conditions will be communicated to the customer before or at the time the booking is confirmed.

In the event of any conflict, the following order of precedence shall apply:

  1. the specific conditions expressly communicated and accepted for the particular booking;
  2. these Terms and Conditions;
  3. the Legal Notice of Pedir Taxi Madrid.

In all cases, any mandatory rights granted to consumers or users by law shall be respected.

5. Direct Provision of Services and Collaborating Taxi Drivers

Services may be provided directly by the owner of Pedir Taxi Madrid or by duly authorised collaborating taxi professionals.

Where necessary due to availability, passenger capacity, luggage, requested vehicle category, location, schedule or other characteristics of the service, Pedir Taxi Madrid may assign the booking to another taxi professional.

The collaborating professional shall act as an independent professional and must hold all licences, permits, insurance policies and other legal requirements applicable to the service.

The existence of a collaboration does not mean that the vehicle, taxi licence or driver is owned or employed by the owner of Pedir Taxi Madrid.

Where necessary for the proper provision of the service, the customer may be provided with the details of the assigned driver or vehicle before pick-up.

Assigning a collaborating professional will not alter the conditions previously communicated to the customer unless a modification is expressly accepted.

6. Vehicles

Pedir Taxi Madrid may offer different vehicle categories, including Standard, Premium and Van.

Photographs, makes and models shown on the website are for illustrative purposes and represent examples of vehicles that may be used for each category.

Booking a particular category does not necessarily guarantee a specific model, make, colour or driver unless this has been expressly agreed.

The vehicle finally assigned must be suitable for the number of passengers, luggage and characteristics of the requested service.

Where the customer has a specific requirement relating to passenger capacity, luggage, child seats, accessibility or any other special circumstance, this must be communicated in advance.

7. Prices and Fares

Taxi services subject to official regulated fares shall be governed by the applicable fares, supplements and other conditions established by the relevant regulations in force at the time of the service.

Where a quotation, estimated price or previously agreed price is provided, the customer will be informed of the conditions applicable to the service.

Prices published on the website may be indicative where expressly stated and do not necessarily constitute a fixed price.

The booking shall be subject to the price or pricing method communicated to and accepted by the customer.

Where legally established supplements apply, they shall be charged in accordance with the applicable regulations.

Where a fixed price or specific financial condition may legally be agreed for a particular service, the amount expressly communicated to and accepted by the customer shall apply, without prejudice to any subsequent changes requested by the customer which alter the conditions originally agreed.

8. Payment

The payment method may be agreed during the booking process.

Depending on the service, payment may be made directly to the driver providing the service or, where expressly agreed, through the payment method indicated by Pedir Taxi Madrid.

Depending on the service and the conditions communicated, payment may be accepted in cash, by card or through other enabled payment methods.

Where the service is provided by a collaborating professional and payment is made directly to that professional, the collaborating professional shall be responsible for issuing any corresponding tax or payment documentation.

Where Pedir Taxi Madrid manages payment directly, the applicable invoicing arrangements shall be used according to the nature of the transaction.

9. Cancellations

Bookings may be cancelled free of charge where cancellation is communicated at least 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up time, unless a different condition has been communicated to the customer for a specific service.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up may result in reasonable costs arising from the booking being charged, particularly where a specific vehicle or driver has been reserved or where the service required special arrangements.

Special services, high-capacity vehicles, hourly hire, intercity journeys, sightseeing services or bookings requiring specific organisation may be subject to specific cancellation conditions.

Such conditions must be communicated before the booking is confirmed.

10. Booking Changes

Any change relating to the date, time, pick-up location, destination, number of passengers, luggage, flight, train or vehicle category must be communicated as far in advance as possible.

Acceptance of any change is subject to availability.

A substantial change may result in a change of price, schedule, driver or vehicle, or may require a new booking confirmation.

Changes communicated at very short notice cannot be guaranteed where they interfere with other previously scheduled services.

11. Passenger Punctuality and Waiting Times

The passenger must be at the agreed pick-up point at the scheduled time.

Where the customer is not available, the driver may attempt to contact them using the details provided in the booking.

Waiting time may generate additional charges in accordance with the applicable regulated fare or the conditions previously communicated for the service.

Where a booking includes specific waiting conditions, those conditions will be communicated to the customer and shall prevail over these general terms.

The fact that communication exists with the passenger does not mean that the driver can wait indefinitely where other services are scheduled.

12. Passenger Absence or No-Show

A service may be considered a no-show where the passenger does not appear at the agreed pick-up point within the applicable waiting period and no additional waiting period has been expressly agreed.

Before leaving the pick-up point, the driver or Pedir Taxi Madrid may attempt to contact the customer by telephone, WhatsApp or any other contact details provided in the booking.

Once the maximum communicated waiting time has been reached, the driver may end the waiting period and continue with their scheduled services.

A booking considered a no-show may result in any costs or consequences previously communicated to the customer and legally applicable.

13. Airport Pick-Ups

Where a service begins at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, the customer must provide the correct flight number whenever available.

Pedir Taxi Madrid may monitor publicly available flight information in order to coordinate the pick-up.

Where the correct flight number has been provided, the reference used to calculate the passenger’s arrival and the waiting period will generally be the actual flight landing time, rather than only the originally scheduled arrival time.

Flight monitoring is an auxiliary service and does not release the passenger from the obligation to communicate relevant changes where they are aware of them.

The specific meeting point will be communicated to the customer before the service.

For certain services, the passenger may be met with a name sign or at a previously agreed meeting point.

Pedir Taxi Madrid may provide instructions, photographs, videos or visual guides to help the passenger locate the meeting point.

14. Airport Waiting Time

Unless a different condition is expressly stated in the booking confirmation, for airport pick-ups the driver may wait for the passenger for up to 60 minutes from the actual landing time of the flight provided in the booking.

During this period, the passenger should make their way to the agreed meeting point as soon as reasonably possible.

If the passenger experiences a delay due to immigration, customs, baggage collection, lost luggage or another circumstance affecting their exit from the terminal, they should notify Pedir Taxi Madrid as soon as possible.

Notification of a delay does not automatically mean that unlimited additional waiting time is granted.

Where the customer asks the driver to continue waiting beyond the included waiting period, an extended waiting period may be agreed subject to the additional charge or supplement communicated to the customer.

Once the maximum waiting period has expired without the passenger appearing and without an express agreement to extend the waiting time, the service may be considered a no-show and the driver may leave the airport.

The specific conditions of a booking may establish a different waiting period where this has been expressly communicated to the customer.

15. Flight Delays, Cancellations and Changes

Where a flight is delayed and the correct flight number has been provided, Pedir Taxi Madrid will make reasonable efforts to adapt the pick-up to the actual arrival time.

Significant delays, cancellations, diversions, changes of airport, changes of flight number or other substantial modifications may require a new availability check.

Where the passenger changes flight, they must notify Pedir Taxi Madrid as soon as they become aware of the change.

If the customer provides an incorrect or incomplete flight number, changes flight without notifying Pedir Taxi Madrid or provides information that makes reasonable flight tracking impossible, Pedir Taxi Madrid cannot guarantee automatic adaptation of the service to the new arrival.

Information supplied by airports, airlines or public flight-tracking systems is provided by third parties and Pedir Taxi Madrid cannot guarantee its absolute accuracy or availability.

16. Train Stations and Other Arrival Points

Where a pick-up depends on the arrival of a train or another means of transport, the customer should provide, where possible, the train number, service number or other identifying information.

The meeting point may be arranged through specific instructions or through visual guides published by Pedir Taxi Madrid.

Significant delays may require an adjustment to the pick-up, subject to availability.

17. Luggage

The customer must inform Pedir Taxi Madrid where they will be travelling with a particularly large amount of luggage, bulky items, bicycles, musical instruments or other items requiring a specific type of vehicle.

The stated passenger capacity of a vehicle may be reduced where a large amount of luggage is carried.

Pedir Taxi Madrid may recommend or assign a larger vehicle where necessary.

Failure to provide relevant information regarding passengers or luggage may prevent the service from being provided with the vehicle originally assigned.

18. Children and Child Restraint Systems

Where children are travelling, the customer must notify Pedir Taxi Madrid in advance where a child restraint system may be required.

Availability of such equipment must be expressly confirmed before the service where requested.

The transport of children shall be governed by the regulations applicable to taxi services in each case.

19. Pets

The transport of animals must be communicated in advance where special arrangements may be required.

Acceptance may depend on the characteristics of the animal, carrier, size, available vehicle and applicable regulations.

Assistance dogs shall be governed by the relevant specific regulations.

20. Hourly Hire and Driver-at-Disposal Services

Hourly hire services shall be provided for the duration, price and conditions expressly agreed before confirmation.

The booked period shall begin at the agreed time and location.

Extensions are subject to driver availability and may generate an additional charge.

A delay by the customer does not necessarily extend the agreed finishing time unless expressly agreed.

21. Intercity Journeys

For journeys outside Madrid, the price and conditions may be agreed in advance where permitted by the applicable regulations.

Tolls, parking, waiting time and other costs may or may not be included depending on what has been expressly communicated to the customer.

Any relevant change of route, additional stop or modification requested during the service may alter the originally agreed price where legally applicable.

22. Conduct and Safety During the Service

Passengers must behave appropriately and respectfully towards the driver, vehicle and other occupants.

A service may be refused or interrupted where there is a risk to the safety of the driver, passengers, vehicle or third parties, without prejudice to the applicable regulations.

Violent, threatening or otherwise unsafe behaviour will not be accepted.

The customer may be held responsible for damage caused to the vehicle where legally applicable.

23. Extraordinary Circumstances and Force Majeure

Pedir Taxi Madrid shall not be liable for delays or inability to provide a service where these arise from circumstances that are unforeseeable or reasonably beyond its control.

Such circumstances may include, by way of example:

  • accidents or road closures;
  • exceptional traffic congestion;
  • demonstrations;
  • strikes;
  • major public events;
  • police or administrative restrictions;
  • adverse weather conditions;
  • airport or railway incidents;
  • unexpected vehicle breakdowns;
  • widespread telecommunications failures;
  • emergencies;
  • natural disasters;
  • decisions by public authorities;
  • any other extraordinary circumstance outside the reasonable control of the service provider or driver.

In such situations, Pedir Taxi Madrid will make reasonable efforts to inform the customer and, where reasonably possible, adopt alternative measures to provide the service.

24. Personal Data

The information provided will be used to manage the request and provide the service.

Where a service is assigned to a collaborating taxi professional, only the data necessary to carry out the pick-up, contact the passenger and correctly provide the requested transport service may be shared with that professional.

Full information regarding personal data processing is available in the Pedir Taxi Madrid Privacy Policy.

25. Communications

Communications relating to a booking may be made by telephone, email or WhatsApp using the contact details provided by the customer.

The user is responsible for providing correct contact details and for keeping at least one reasonable means of contact available where necessary for the proper provision of the service.

Confirmations, changes and specific conditions communicated through these channels may form part of the specific terms applicable to the booking.

26. Passenger Transport and Distance Contracting

The main purpose of the services governed by these Terms and Conditions is passenger transport.

Bookings made remotely shall be subject to the specific legal framework applicable to passenger transport services and to any other consumer protection rules that may apply.

Cancellation conditions shall be those established in these Terms and Conditions and, where applicable, the specific conditions expressly communicated to and accepted by the customer for each booking, always subject to any mandatory applicable legislation.

27. Complaints

Customers may report any issue relating to a booking or service through:

Email: info@pedirtaximadrid.es
Phone: +34 636 956 224

Customers are encouraged to report any issue as soon as possible in order to facilitate verification and resolution.

Where the issue concerns a service provided by a collaborating professional, Pedir Taxi Madrid may assist with the management and communication of the incident, without prejudice to any legal responsibility that may correspond to the professional who actually provided the transport service.

28. Applicable Regulations

Taxi services shall be subject to the administrative and fare regulations applicable at the time the service is provided.

These Terms and Conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with Spanish law, while respecting in all cases the rights granted to consumers and users.

Where the customer has the legal status of a consumer or user, the competent courts shall be those determined by applicable consumer protection legislation.

29. Amendments to These Terms

Pedir Taxi Madrid may amend these Terms and Conditions where necessary in order to adapt them to legislative, regulatory or technical changes or to changes in the operation of the service.

The conditions applicable to a booking shall be those communicated or in force at the time the booking is made, unless a mandatory legal change becomes applicable.
